How many books data miners buy?

The latest KDnuggets Poll asked:

How many books on data mining, analytics, and related topics did you buy in 2008-2009?

Based on the over 200 votes, data miners are buying books, with a median of 2 books, or about 1 per year.

About 30% of respondents reported buying 3 or more books, which brings the weighted average to about 2.5 books per year.
