Poll Results: Analytics Integration with Business Processes Increases Staff Levels

In the past year, how did integration of analytics/data mining in business processes change in your company/organization?

Poll results indicate that the in the past year there was an increase in integration of analytics/data mining with business processes.

Data miners can breath a sigh of relief, since contrary to some expectation, the increased integration did not lead to staff reductions.

Actually, internal analytics staff increased, while usage of external analytics consultants remained about the same.

Among respondents who indicated greater integration, 68% also said that internal analytics staff increased, while only 3% said that internal analytics staff decreased. With regards to external analytics staff, the effect was not significant - about 35% reported more use, while 30% reported less use.
