SuperData Summit SAN DIEGO (October 19, 2011) -- SuperData Summit (www.superdatasummit.com), a celebration of analytics and data mining insights slated for November 16 at the Del Mar Marriott, will feature IBM's Watson demo of Jeopardy fame, a futuristic look at the next generation of text and data analytics via supercomputers, and predictions of how these incredible capabilities will impact healthcare and other industries in years to come.

SuperData Summit keynotes include

  • Gregory Piatetsky, Editor of KDnuggets, the industry's leading newsletter and website on analytics and data mining;
  • John E. Mattison, M.D., Chief Medical Information Officer/Assistant Medical Director of Kaiser Permanente; and

UCSD's new supercomputer Gordon will be showcased at the conference by Robert Sinkovits, PhD, Applications Lead for the Gordon Project. San Diego analytics entrepreneur Mike Alfred, CEO of fast-growing financial analytics advisor company Brightscope, will provide an overview of the San Diego region's thriving analytics hub which currently employs more than 7500 professionals.

The San Diego Software Industries Council, organizers of SuperData Summit, recently launched a new jobs website www.sdtechcareers.org featuring more than 2500 analytics and technical job openings in Southern California.

Bob Slapin, Executive Director of the San Diego Software Industries Council, said,
