Special Sports Analytics:  How Predictive Analytics enables Leicester Tigers Rugby team to detect and prevent player injuries
The use of analytics in sport has grown exponentially over the last 20 years, and the rugby union is no exception. Since 1995 when the game turned professional alongside the introduction of a salary cap, it has become necessity for coaches and club owners alike to look after their playing assets. The ability to collect, manage, analyse and report useful data should be of the utmost importance for any business looking to positively influence performance. This presentation will demonstrate the growth of analytics in sport in general and subsequently focus on our use of predictive analytics with the aim of helping us understand and reduce players' injury rates at Leicester Tigers.

Management Panel: The war for Analytical Talent
Learn how to develop and grow teams of predictive analysts, and win the war for analytical talent
In a young domain, experts are usually disappointed about the lack of skilled analytical managers. In 2009, Google's chief economist Hal Varian envisioned that the most sexy job in the 2010s would be statisticians. If you are a Predictive Analytics Manager, this panel is valuable for you in terms attracting and retaining analytical experts, considering latest best practices in managing analytical expertise and how automation is changing your roles. Martine has a unique track record of managing different analytical teams in a high demanding branch. Join our international experts John Elder, Tom Khabaza and Predictive Analytics World's Conference Program Chair, Dr Geert Verstraeten  in this unique session to focus on this topic.

The system is planned to be finished in 2013. Predictive Analytics allows the Danish ministry of Taxation to improve tax collection and shows the expected future payment behavior of the debtors. This amazing work will be presented in detail, covering the modelling, scorecards, explanatory variables, the definition of Bad and the scores. This session is for experts looking for concrete predictive analytics typical applications with domain leading experts.
