The faculty of Computer and Information Science at the University of
Konstanz (Germany) currently has an open position in the field of
biological data analysis and visualization.
JOB OPENING:
One research assistant position, salary level 13 TV-L (with a
possibility to obtain a PhD) in the project "Finding new overlapping genes and their theory" of the DFG-Schwerpunkt Programm "Informations und Kommunikationstheorie in der Molekularbiologie".
YOUR PROFILE:
We are looking for a motivated candidate with a master degree in
Computer Science, or related disciplines, strong English language
skills, and a background in bioinformatics and/or data analysis/visualization.
Good programming skills in Java and Perl as well as experiences with
BLAST are advantageous. We expect the candidate to face the challenges
of scientific work in interesting visualization and data analysis projects
with a clear application focus.

personal development possibilities, early assumption of responsibilities
in interesting research projects, very good industrial contacts, as well
