The Department of Management Sciences is recruiting for a faculty position in Management Information Systems starting in fall 2011. Areas of interest include but are not limited to database, machine learning, data and text mining, web search, and knowledge management.
Applicants at all levels will be considered. Candidates for a tenure-track assistant professor position should have a Ph.D. in MIS, Informatics, Information Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field and exhibit exceptional research and teaching promise. Candidates for a tenured position must have an outstanding record of research and teaching. The Department of Management Sciences offers undergraduate and doctoral programs in MIS and teaches additional MIS courses for MBA and M.Ac. students. Candidates with the interest and ability to teach in the database area are particularly encouraged to apply.
Extensive collaborative opportunities are available with faculty and doctoral students in other departments and interdisciplinary programs, including Computer Science and Health Informatics.
