Job description :
The assignment consists of lecturing duties, scientific research and service to society. During the first period of (maximum) ten years, scientific research will be the main activity.

• The candidate is expected to expand the scientific research in the domain of database systems
• The candidate is expected to acquire external funding (national and international) and to supervise doctoral students
• The candidate will be assigned limited lecturing duties and is expected to offer limited scientific service.

• the candidate holds a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Exact or Applied Sciences
• the candidate has an international scientific CV, and has, considering the trajectory of his postdoctoral carreer, qualitatively outstanding academic achievements in the broader field according to the domain involved
• the scientific and educational qualities of the candidate comply with the requirements as stipulated by the university's policy (see mission statement)
• the candidate has strong social and communicative skills, can work in a team and is able to lead a research group
• you prove, by your scientific CV, that you play an important role in the research of the principles and foundations of database systems.
