Duties
The ideal candidate will manage business development as well as corporate and institutional relations for the Wharton Customer Analytics Initiative. This person will be the face of the organization to external sponsors and constituents. Responsibilities will include cultivating new corporate partners, maintaining relationships with current partners, developing and managing potential individual-level donors and stewarding relationships with relevant industry associations and professional organizations. This person will work closely with Wharton External Affairs and other university development staff. With the assistance of the Associate Director for Communications, the Director will develop materials to promote and explain the initiative to potential corporate partners and donors. The Director will act as an ambassador across the university for the Wharton Customer Analytics Initiative, helping to identify collaboration within Wharton and across the university. With the assistance of the Associate Director for Communications, the Director will construct, organize, and manage relationships with a Board of Advisors for WCAI in addition to engaging with and supporting alumni special-interest groups. In addition the Director will represent WCAI at corporate events and industry speaking engagements. This position requires an ability to travel nationally and internationally as well as some evening and weekend work. Experience in a data-oriented discipline/industry (e.g., statistics, operations, computer science) is desirable.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent in experience) required .6-7 years of progressively responsible experience required with emphasis on experience in business development, fundraising and corporate relations. Ability to function with a high degree of independence yet still work collaboratively within the WCAI team. Experience interacting with CEO level contacts and directors of analytics is desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required. Background in a data-oriented discipline/industry (e.g., statistics, operations, computer science) is preferred. Travel and some evening/weekend work and a valid driver's license required. Position contingent upon funding.
