We invite applications for research visits (internships) for 3-4 months all year around. We are looking for enthusiastic and highly-qualified late-stage junior researchers (PhD students) and early-stage postdoctoral researchers working in the areas of Information Retrieval, Computational Linguistics, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Social Network / Social Media Analysis, Human-Computer Interaction, Large-Scale Computing and at the intersection of these and related areas.
We are looking for visitors with:
- Strong background in computer science / mathematics
- Good knowledge of C++, Java or Python (MapReduce development experience is a plus)
- Good communicative and social skills
- Good knowledge of English language
- Experience in publishing at academic conferences
We provide an access to datasets and the infrastructure for large-scale experiments, which are hard to reach in academia, plus the opportunity to spend a few months in a fast-growing company with a lively start-up and creative atmosphere. The visitor is supposed to work on a research project together with Yandex applied researchers and engineers. We expect the research visit to lead to a paper at a major academic conference.
We offer a competitive salary, reimbursement for travel costs and all kinds of assistance in finding accommodation and settling in Moscow. Dates of visits are flexible.
