Senior Lecturer in Predictive Analytics and Data Mining

Starting salary from £36,862 - £44,016 per annum with further progression opportunities to £48,096

You will have a Doctorate in Computer Science or Engineering with a major focus on one of the following subject areas: Computational Intelligence, Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics or Data Mining. You will work directly with the Smart Technology Research Centre (STRC) director as part of a vibrant Computational Intelligence research team with a focus on developing highly adaptive predictive modelling systems.

You will be expected to play a significant role as a part of the coordinating team in an exciting, large European project on Computational Intelligence Platform for Evolving and Robust Predictive Systems (INFER) led by STRC and involving major European partners.

Applications for this post are welcomed from those with a strong record of research and evidence of, or potential for, successful research bidding in the above mentioned areas. Preference will be given to candidates with experience of collaborative work with industry. You will also be expected to contribute to the teaching within the Computing and Informatics area and in particular the MSc on Applied Data Analytics to start in 2012.
