Web Science is a novel area of research involving multiple disciplines, which target the improved understanding of the Web and its users and the development of crucial Web technology. The Institute for Web Science and Technologies - WeST - focuses on research in Web retrieval, social Web, semantic Web and interactive Web.

The institute has openings for

• a managing director for the institute.

The candidate profile will include a master degree from a university in computer science or related discipline. Strong analytical skills, curiosity for interdisciplinary approaches, strong programming skills and experiences in one of the target domains.

You will work in a friendly creative environment supporting your research work and publications in one of the most scenic places in Germany. The institute is involved in several research networks that may help employees to further strengthen their profiles.
