This position will provide corporate support for SAS application and Business Intelligence servers by maintaining the application environment and supporting the users. We are looking for an experienced professional with a SAS skill set for a SAS 9x environment. This position will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence.

This position will also participate in production software deployments, upgrades, capacity planning, backup strategies, as well as software/hardware integration planning. Will coordinate troubleshooting and make recommendations for configuration of the environment and operational use. Will consult with colleagues and clients on the SAS EBI environment and help them develop a deeper understanding of the tools. This position will work with a diverse team and a multitude of technical and analytical professionals. This position also offers the opportunity to work with IT and non-IT business groups to ensure that the SAS EBI Environment is running at optimal efficiency though monitoring of usage, code review, and best practice solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish best practices for managing the SAS EBI environment
• Maintain awareness of new SAS releases, patches and upgrades.
• Assist with maintenance of the SAS EBI machines such as scheduling server backups, hot fixes, and others on an as-needed basis.
• Monitor the SAS server for resource utilization and act on incidents.
• Monitor storage growth and work with user areas to develop purge criteria.
• Provide guidance and assistance to SAS developers on operational and technical issues.
• Lead the Humana SAS EBI Users Group

• Thorough understanding of SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence and a basic understanding of other SAS tools
• Thorough knowledge of SAS EBI
• The ability to teach, research and recommend Enterprise Business Intelligence Solutions to support requirements
• Demonstrated experience with SAS 9x
• Knowledge of SAS architecture, internals, and operational workings
• The ability to understand planning, executing, and monitoring SAS Jobs
• Knowledge of tools and techniques to troubleshoot and debug SAS
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
• Prior experience in health insurance industry
• Technical documentation abilities
