Job Summary & Mission:

Client Analytical Services (CAS) is part of UBS Wealth Management Americas' Strategy & Business Development group, which is within the CFO Business Area. As a CAS Analyst, you will consult with internal clients to define, execute and deliver data analytics supporting our business partners' targeting and decision making. This includes helping to define business requirements, sourcing and preparing data, executing analyses, generating lists, preparing written deliverables and presenting results. In addition, key areas of focus include management of CAS's analytical data mart and development and maintenance of OLAP data cubes for use by CAS's internal clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consult with internal clients regarding business objectives and requirements; define analytical solution and deliverables, data requirements, project plans and cross-organizational responsibilities
• Produce OLAP data cubes or other analytical data sets, including development of SAS programs for the extraction and manipulation of data across multiple platforms, including mainframe, server/mart and desktop
• Generate household and FA lists for marketing, sales and research purposes, including helping to define targeting criteria, documenting list specifications, developing SAS programs and executing list QA procedures
• Produce campaign/program impact analyses and other ad hoc analyses, including defining analysis requirements, developing SAS programs, conducting analysis and presenting results
• Manage CAS's analytical data mart (aka SAS mart), including mart update scheduling, QA procedures, change control management, knowledge management and interface with IT SAS Support
• Contribute in CAS knowledge sharing forums to help maximize team productivity and ensure adoption of analytical and technical best practices

• Superior SAS programming skills in the extraction, merging and transformation of large data sets across mainframe, server/mart and desktop environments; at least five years SAS programming experience required
• Experience using relational database platforms including DB2 and Oracle
• Data analysis skills, with experience in designing analytical approach/methodology, identifying key findings, and producing output for a non-technical audience
• Client management and consultative skills, with experience in needs assessment, negotiation and expectations setting
• Oral communications skills, with ability to articulate complex concepts in terms understandable to the layman
• Written communication skills, with experience producing presentations as well as technical documentation
• Project management skills, with experience in developing and managing against project plans with defined timelines, activities, and cross-functional responsibilities
• Teaming skills, with experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams
• Bachelors degree or higher in a quantitative discipline, information management and/or computer science
