JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking advanced analytics professionals with a passion for applying their craft to massive web 2.0 datasets and that will help us advance the state of the art in social networking analytics.

• Apply hands-on analytics to gain insights into data from the social web (clustering, classification & regression, visualization, link analysis, pattern mining, deep BI).
• Develop innovative custom solutions to meet specialized customer needs with an eye towards driving general product requirements.
• Collaborate extensively with business and technology organizations.
• Be a subject matter expert in advanced analytics and an expert in our products and offerings.
• Write papers, give presentations, participate in research & customer communities, and advance thought leadership

• Must have deep knowledge and demonstrated experience with large-scale data mining and analytics in industry.
• Must have sufficient experience to anticipate customer needs and suggest alternative approaches to data analysis problems.
• Excellent presentation & writing skills are required. Ability to establish a good rapport with customers.
• Solid grounding in experimental design and statistics.
• Demonstrated history of collaboration with internal and customer groups.
• Experience with statistical/analytics packages and sufficient coding skills to prototype new solutions.
• Must be able to thrive in a fast paced, customer-focused, collaborative environment.
• Masters or PhD in statistics, computer science, mathematics or related.

• Experience in Social Media, Web 2.0, and Marketing domains.
• Experience in professional services or consulting role.
• Experience participating in software development lifecycles particularly in requirements analysis.
• Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Java/C#, scripting languages such as Perl/Python/Ruby, ability to work with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Hadoop & Lucene helpful.
