Principal Duties
The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for the extraction, verification, processing, cleansing, analysis and deployment of client data, third-party data sources, and internal data sources. As a Senior Data Engineer, this person will be accessing confidential data on a daily basis, therefore must maintain the highest level of adherence to ID Analytics, Inc. security policies and practices.

The duties of the Senior Data Engineer will include, but not be limited to:

• Managing data issues and adapting to constantly changing procedures and requirements. Correctly modifying all procedures that are affected by those changes.
• Overseeing and performing the updating, indexing, distribution, and maintenance of all current versions of client application databases
• Tracking and verifying the quality of data from all sources
• Taking technical leadership on new data management projects and the re-structuring of the current data architecture
• Processing and updating third party data sources
• Engineering and coding to specifications outlined in requirements documents
• Analyzing and running statistics on data quality and present results in provided software(Office, Crystal Reports, etc)
• Analyzing current processes and workflows and provide solutions to improve performance, efficiency, robustness, and flexibility
• Providing technical advice and leadership to other members of team

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or an engineering/technical field plus 3 years work experience, or relevant job experience
• Database experience required (MySQL desired).
• Strong understanding of UNIX/Linux System architecture and commands
• Coding and/or scripting skills required. Strong working knowledge of Java and experience with Perl, Awk, Python, and Bash necessary.
• Strong knowledge of basic statistics
• The ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and code design
• The ability to set and manage multiple tasks and to correctly prioritize those tasks
• Strong troubleshooting and logic skills
• Heavy detail and quality orientation
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with limited supervision
• Excellent written communication and oral communication skills
