Responsibilities
- Forecast sales and product usage trends, with a focus on new items and movement of items during promotion periods.
- Mine sales data, identifying reporting issues as well as trends. Determine business implications. Make recommendations for action.
- Identify, obtain and warehouse external data to improve analysis and interpretation of results.
- Improve, design and develop systems to aid Operators in management of financial return of their business.
- Identify areas of the business where analytics would aid in decision-making. Using contract resources as appropriate perform analysis to answer key business questions. Provide recommended actions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Statistics; Masters preferred
- MBAs with Math or Technology undergraduate degrees also considered
- Excellent academic track record
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Access and Excel (Business Objects experience a plus)
- Experience with SAS or SPSS
- Minimum of 3 years experience in data analysis and applying statistics and forecasting to business issues
- Experience in bridging business analysis needs and technical development
- Excellent at managing multiple projects and multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Willing and able to learn new things quickly
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters in Applied Statistics, Advanced Analytics, or equivalent
