This position is responsible for an end-to-end management of OC's direct-response campaigns for all products (Video, Voice and Data) on the acquisition and retention fronts. In this capacity, the Database Marketing Manager will collaborate with product/marketing personnel to collect facts, understand goals and objectives and design executable models, using UNICA, that reflect the collective strategy. To insure success, this individual will establish expectations prior to campaign execution by performing pre-campaign analyses, utilize Propensity scoring models, track results and generate actionable learnings. This individual will also serve as a liaison to corporate Marketing Sciences department and adhere to all corporate OMCE (Optimize Marketing Campaign & Execution) Program standards including offer testing, campaign hold-outs, DNIS number utilization, standardization of ICOMS campaign codes and user security groups. In addition, the candidate will produce various customer related reporting and analyses such offer feasibility, product penetration reports, churn analysis, competitive tracking and other related duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborate with product managers to understand and translate acquisition and retention campaign strategies into actionable steps.
- Utilize UNICA for all acquisition and retention campaigns; including building segmentation trees, offer coding and campaign tracking modules.
- Incorporate champion vs. challenger vs. holdout offer testing for all major campaigns.
- Create customer lists and coordinate project timing with product teams, mail and fulfillment houses.
- Track, analyze and present campaign learning to marketing management for both acquisition and retention efforts.
- Perform data mining and analyses using a variety of statistical and process related tools to identify patterns, trends and/or outliers.
- Partner with IT and serve as a liaison to corporate marketing to coordinate overlay projects and resolve all data and other related issues.
- Creates models to evaluate economic feasibility of marketing initiatives for all products.
- Support operational initiatives as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Generally 3-5 years of direct experience in a similar capacity position
- B.S./B.A degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Computer, Statistics or Finance.
- 2 to 3 years campaign management software experience; preferably UNICA a plus.
- Experience with tools/software (Visual FoxPro, MS Access, Excel, other) relevant to database research, data mining and statistical analysis.
- Must be a strategic thinker and have thorough understanding of consumer motivation and behavior.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with employees at all management levels.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to explain technical/complex information in a manner that is easy to understand.
