In this role, your responsibilities would include:
- Defining and executing on Playfish's strategy for collecting and analyzing data to enable fact-based decision making relating to our games
- Defining business requirements for the ongoing evolution of the data warehousing, analytics and reporting systems at Playfish
- Translating both articulated and unarticulated business requirements into analyses, insights, actionable reports and tools
- Designing and implementing advanced statistical testing for custom problem solving, including methodologies such as A/B and multivariate testing
- Driving best practices in the use and adoption of analytics, reporting and tools across the global organization
- Ensuring data quality and validity
The requirements for this position are:
- Passion and commitment to changing how the world plays games
- 8+ years of experience in quantitative research or analyses, with a focus on business intelligence and analytics
- Thorough understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g. roles of ETL, BI, facts, dimensions, drill-down, roll-up, data mining), data storage technologies, BI tools, and online metrics
- Self-starter with a passion for data and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of presenting data through a combination of summary, charting and tables
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of staff and senior management required
- Bachelors degree required - advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or economics a plus
