Technicolor's Research & Innovation (R&I) Princeton Center is searching for a world-class research scientist with expertise in data mining, information retrieval and machine learning, for application to recommender systems, user profiling and privacy modeling. The ideal candidate will be well known and respected in the research community with a strong publication track record.
Key Responsibilities:
- Propose, launch, and execute research, in collaboration with peer researchers, locally and at other Technicolor R&I centers.
- Evangelize technologies & related science within and outside Technicolor.
- Publish in leading research journals and conferences and contribute to developing Intellectual Property.
- Build and maintain relationships with the academic research community and attract top-notch interns and post-docs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or other relevant discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of data mining, machine learning and information retrieval.
- Well versed in state of the art in one or more of the following areas: recommender systems, user profiling and privacy modeling.
- Proven track record in publications, technical innovation and problem solving.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to present complex ideas in a simple way.
- 7+ years research experience following PhD. Some industry experience is preferred.
- Experience with government funded research projects (e.g. NSF) is preferred.
