Job Description:
This position provides consultative services to internal and external clients in the analysis and interpretation of Epocrates user base and usage data. The successful candidate will work closely (1) with the Epocrates Subscriber Business team to help promote, measure and analyze successful user base marketing initiatives, and (2) with Product Management team to help make intelligent decisions on product features and functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the liaison for all Subscriber Business and Product Management analytics and reporting needs
- Proactively seek and perform analysis of Subscriber Business and Product Management initiatives
- Analyze effects of Subscriber marketing campaigns
- Analyze user base composition, attributes, trend, marketing opportunities and growth predictions
- Analyze handheld and web usage data and consult with Product Management in new product design and existing product enhancement specifications
- Facilitate recurring reporting processes for user usage data metrics and monitor KPIs as needed per business needs
- Perform advanced analytics such as multivariate regression, user segmentation, and forecasting
Skill Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Applied Statistics and Optimization techniques and the ability to apply to real-world business situations
- Independent thinker and problem-solver, with the ability to work directly with diverse business groups, anticipate business needs, and develop tools and processes in order to meet these needs
- Strong understanding of the needs/requirements of business customers
- Proficiency with statistical software such as SAS, Excel VBA, and Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
- Knowledge of reporting tools such as OBIEE and Crystal Reports
- Strong oral communication skills, and ability to present analytical results to a non-technical audience
- Must be detail-oriented and customer service driven
Other:
- Education and Experience: Advanced degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or other Quantitative disciplines with 3 years experience or Bachelors in a Quantitative discipline with 5 years experience
- Previous experience in a top-tier consulting or marketing analytics firm is desirable
- Pharmaceutical Industry experience is preferred
- Permanent Residence or US Citizenship is required
