The iTunes Store Genius team is looking for a self starting, energetic individual who is not afraid to question assumptions and with excellent written and oral skills. The candidate should have several years experience building large-scale services and systems using object-oriented languages and working with large data sets. The ability to be a good team player under tight deadline constraints is key to success. Also, we are looking for an individual who tackles problems with imaginative solutions.

This individual would focus on Genius Recommendation and Playlisting features and those day-to-day operations of the iTunes Store. Expertise with machine learning, collaborative filtering, and recommendation systems are all crucial to success in this position. Experience with large data sets numbering in billions of items, probabilistic algorithms, and distributed data storage are a plus. Required experience:
