Job Description
Senior Data Analyst, Decision Science is part of a team responsible for the development and integration of analytics (e.g., credit scorecards, predictive models, data mining and general statistical analysis) within the credit/risk management organization. The successful candidate will be an independent thinker and problem solver, with the ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions.

There is a significant amount of interaction with senior management, from brainstorming new ideas and solutions, discussing business objectives/problems, presenting proposed solutions and 'selling ideas', to presenting analytic content and showing bottom-line benefit. Some particular responsibilities include the development or redevelopment of predictive models, development of strategies that integrate these models into operational processes, monitoring of the performance of these models and strategies, and performing various data mining/analytical tasks to identify potential opportunities within the business to utilize analytics to improve efficiency.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in a highly technical/mathematical discipline (i.e., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science); an advanced degree (MS or PhD) is a definite plus.
• 3 - 5 years work experience utilizing predictive modeling and advanced data mining techniques in a real-world setting to solve business problems, preferably in a credit-related environment.
• Extremely effective communication (both written and verbal), organizational and project management skills.
• Experienced SAS programmer, general knowledge of database systems such as Access and Oracle, and strong overall technical skills are required.
