The Research Statistician position includes the following activities:

• Assist in the design and execution of statistical studies by following established procedures including data support, data analysis, sample selection, universe estimates and research projects.
• Assist in the design and execution of customized / ad hoc studies in order to answer client questions.
• Develop, update and maintain software / databases.
• Design and conduct research to develop, improve or justify Nielsen research methods.

• Bachelors degree in Statistics with 2+ year experience or equivalent (Master degree in Statistics a plus)
• Proficient in SAS programming.
• Knowledge of Unix required.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and sampling methods.
• Knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to estimate project time requirements and work independently.
• Minimal travel required
