Education

• A degree from a Canadian or U.S. University in Computer Science, Statistics or Engineering
• Masters or PHD preferred

• Extensive experience in planning and design for large data warehouses
• Understands various data mining techniques and segmentation strategies
• Oracle Database 10/11: 3 years +
• Conceptual & Logical Designing of Data Models: 5 years +
• Decision Trees and Regression analysis using SAS/R/SSPS: 5 years +
• Working Knowledge of Java programming concepts: 1 years +
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Data Modelling (Oracle,DB2,MSSQL,SAS)
• Strong SQL Skills (PL/SQL, TSQL)

• Analyze large amounts of transactional data using data mining technique to determine the most predictive data attributes for marketing
• Perform back tests and other techniques on data to determine the best modeling algorithms
• Lead, develop, and maintain all common dimensions in the analytics environment
• Work with DBA's to ensure optimum data performance
• Support the DBA's and Solution Architects to provide the best solutions to meet project needs that are aligned with strategic direction
• Control data model changes through active involvement throughout the project lifecycle, as well as reviewing and approving data designs.
