Job Description:
The technology research and development organization within Accenture, turns technology innovation into business results. Our labs create a vision of how technology will shape the future and invent the next wave of cutting-edge business solutions. Working closely with Accenture's global network of specialists, Accenture Technology Labs helps clients innovate for competitive advantage.

Our research and development team explores new and emerging technologies that are one to five years out, and uses them to create prototypes and cutting-edge solutions that will help organizations maximize performance in the future. Managers will manage consulting engagements and research and development projects that apply emerging technologies to solve our clients' business problems. This person will work with individuals from Technology Labs to envision and create applications that use these emerging technologies.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, or similar technical degree required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in programming skills one or more of the following: .NET, C++ or C#, Java J2EE
• Minimum of 1 year experience with database technology (mining, modeling) and/or business and statistical software such as SAS and SPSS

• Experience with Microsoft technologies and .NET capabilities, Sharepoint, etc
• Work experience in the healthcare industry such as health insurance companies, providers, clinical environment or with a medical facility
• Knowledge of Microsoft HealthVault and/or Amalga suite is a plus
• A desire to create business applications out of new technologies
• Have experience in managing own and other's work effort including time management, estimation, completion, issue identification & resolution, and status reporting
• Understanding of technical architectures and the current state of the technology market in several technology areas
• Lead, coordination or participation in organizations and teams

• Desire to work in an R&D environment.
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Base ability to establish credibility with clients and other team members
• Able to exhibit ownership, initiation, and incubation of new ideas and concepts on projects
• Proven experience working on an effort to a tangible outcome that can be measured in time and money
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
