Description
Client Analytical Services (CAS) is part of UBS Wealth Management Americas' Market Strategy & Analysis group, which is within the Marketing Business Area.

As a CAS Statistician, you will work with our internal business partners in defining, executing and delivering data analytics that support their decision making and targeting efforts. This includes helping to define business objectives and analysis approach, sourcing and preparing data, executing analyses, including statistical modeling, and preparing and presenting presentations. In addition, this role is responsible for managing CAS's analytical data mart

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs advanced analytics, including predictive modeling, segmentation and other statistical applications
• Builds analytical data sets, including development of SAS programs for the extraction and transformation of data across multiple platforms, including mainframe, server and desktop
• Consults internal clients regarding business requirements, analytical approach and deliverables, project planning and cross-organizational responsibilities
• Prepares and presents PowerPoint presentations summarizing analysis findings and recommendations, providing actionable insights to business decision makers
• Contribute in multiple, simultaneous projects, working on cross-functional teams in project definition, execution and delivery
• Manages CAS's analytical data mart (aka SAS mart), including, in coordination with IT, mart update scheduling, QA procedures, change control management, knowledge management and interface with SAS Support

• Superior statistical skills, including multiple and logistic regression, CART, CHAID, factor analysis and cluster analysis; requires at least five years experience using SAS statistical applications.
• Superior SAS programming skills in the extraction, merging and transformation of large data sets across mainframe, server and desktop environments; requires at least five years SAS programming experience.
• Experience using relational database platforms including DB2, Oracle and/or Sybase
• Business analysis skills, with experience in interpreting findings and making actionable recommendations.
• Verbal communications skills, with ability to articulate complex concepts in terms understandable to the layman
• Written communication skills, with experience in producing presentations as well as technical documentation.
• Project management skills, with experience in developing, communicating and managing against project plans with defined timelines and cross-functional responsibilities.
• Teaming skills, with experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
• Experience in financial services a plus
• Masters degree or higher in quantitative discipline such as statistics or econometrics.
