Efficient Frontier seeks a Senior Software Engineer to develop user interfaces for the web. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for end-to-end ownership including design, implementation, deployment, and resolving support issues. You will work with a core team responsible for the entire product life cycle and will have significant responsibilities for design and implementation.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and develop elegant and responsive user interfaces for the web
- Work with product management to break down high level goals into tasks and timelines
- Provide thoughtful input at all stages of product development
Requirements
- Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of Java UI development experience is necessary
- Have a very strong understanding of and demonstrated experience with the Google Web Toolkit (GWT)
- Proficiency in using JDBC, Spring, JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, HTML, CSS
- Detailed oriented, quality conscious, with an eye toward simplicity
- Good communication skills - be able to articulate technical decisions and produce excellent technical documents
- Industry experience in hosted software, search engine marketing, internet or e-commerce
- Thrive in a startup environment - learn and become productive quickly and meet goals with minimum supervision
- Oracle or Mysql or postgres database and SQL knowledge is a big plus
