Building these system provides many technical challenges in the areas of distributed computing, data analysis, multi-Petabyte storage systems, high-performance, high availability computing, and efficient graph traversal algorithms. The position will require original algorithm design, an understanding of Unix and performance issues, and the ability to work with our research and operations groups. The candidate must be able to contribute to the overall architecture of our product and take individual ownership of large components of the system. The candidate is expected to hit the ground running, be able to communicate clearly with partners and peers, and be self-directing in a very dynamic environment.

Assignment Description: as a Data Scientist you will perform data analysis, develop algorithms and predictive models, and present technical information to a broad audience. You will apply algorithms and modeling tools to a variety of data asset, and develop critical solutions for multiple areas of business. You will work with a dynamic and passionate team of experienced scientists and other professionals.

Experience and Skills:

Specific Responsibilities:

• Create, develop and maintain a suite of predictive analytics an data mining suites to solve critical business problems using the best technologies available
• Develop statistical models & methodologies to predict, quantify, and evaluate various business/health metrics
• Provide expertise and assistance in integrating advanced analytics into ongoing business processes
• Interface with other functional areas on database design, data collection guidelines, and promote models into production
• Identify and recommend new data sources that will maximize analytic output; ensure and maintain data quality and reliability

• Solid experience with Java or C++/C, multi-threaded programming, network programming, UNIX development tools, scripting languages
• Experience building large-scale, complex systems or applications. (Experience with large, distributed Linux applications preferred.)
• Participated in full life cycle of large project: Design, implementation, shipping and sustaining.
• Master's Degree in Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
• Prior experience on data mining, statistics, pattern recognition, machine learning Strong experience using modeling tools such as SAS, SPSS, R, Mat lab, Oracle Data Miner-
• Passion for solving challenging technical problems, creativity, and detail orientated
• Ability to effectively communicate results of statistical models to broad audience

• PhD Degree in Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
• Experience with creating code bases and deep algorithmic experience with LSI,SVD,NMF and related machine learning
• Advanced experience and in-depth knowledge of modeling techniques, such as feature transformation, evolutionary algorithms, selection, nonlinear modeling including neural networks, boosted trees etc.
• Experience of develop and implement models in transactional databases
• Experience with large data sets especially health care data
• Experience with map reduction and distributed computing of machine learning and data mining algorithms in a commercial high availability environment
