Argus has offices in White Plains, NY (Headquarters), London and San Francisco. Our San Francisco Office is currently seeking several senior and entry level analysts.
Responsibilities
- Conducts analysis work that is complex in nature; synthesizes large volumes of data into actionable recommendations
- Designs, develops, conducts and interprets statistical and business analyses
- Presents findings to management in a clear, concise format using graphics, tables and high level summarization verbally and in writing; recommends concrete actions suggested by analytic results
- Develops SQL scripts, reports and stored procedures for data transformation, reporting and data analysis
- Understands core processes for data normalization, data validation, data aggregation, and customized reporting
- Maintains, refines and improves existing software/processes for efficiency and performance
- Documents own work, creates technical documents for requirements/design and internal communication memos
- Mentors, trains junior analysts and aids in team building
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Extensive SQL knowledge and experience is a must; SAS experience desired
- Knowledge and or experience in the credit card industry is highly desired
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced dynamic environment
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with an attention to detail
- Can take on challenging unstructured assignments with little supervision
