Position Summary
The Chief Scientist role is a Vice President level position reporting to the Chief Technology Officer. This position is part of a team responsible for the development of the Company's advanced technologies particularly to do with statistical score modeling, model development, score/model deployment, large scale database analysis and statistical algorithms. The core objective of this position is to serve as a corporate technical thought leader which includes advancing the Company's technologies to ensure that ID Analytics' solutions continue to solve complex business problems and remain leaders in the industry.

Principal Duties

• Provide technical leadership to the analytical modeling development team for the design, building and implementation of score models and algorithms.
• Interface with internal and external users,
• Mentoring, training and development of technical staff.
• Develop solutions to complex business analysis problems and participate in direct score model development and deployment.
• Analysis, design, development, test, troubleshooting and documentation of complex data systems that may involve one or more of the following: predictive score models, feature extraction, data-driven analysis, machine learning, decision making and related utilities.
• Thought leadership on new uses for existing data as well as potential new data sources.
• Identify process improvement opportunities within internal processes and through communications, programs and other activities as needed.
• Collaborate with the developers to implement improvements. Completing written documentation and reports of results. This will take the form of business reports, client presentations, internal technology white papers and statistical system documentation.
• Provide regular status reports and gather requirements from statistical model developers and provide input into the products that are created and built.

• Graduate level technical degree, PhD preferred
• Deep and broad experience with algorithms for machine learning, statistical modeling and data mining using very large data sets
• At least 10 years of score modeling experience across a variety of platforms
• Financial industry or telecommunications industry experience preferred
• Web programming experience, database integration experience, analytical problem solving experience, expert programming levels in object oriented languages on Unix systems.
• Technical and Data Architecture experience and systems engineering experience.
• Strong record of completed projects across various computing platforms.
• A Chief Scientist must be able to work on complex modeling projects with extremely complex data structures.
• Client interaction is possible to complete deliverables.
• Work assignments include model development and resolving problems or coordinating score model design architecture.
