Bing Mobile team is focused on delivering Bing search experience on mobile devices. Our goal is to put the power of Bing in your pocket. Bing search team owns creating addictively useful experiences for folks trying to search from their mobile devices. We do this by building best-of-breed browser and full-client experiences along with a high-performance platform, and by creating opportunities for users to experience the value through carriers or direct distribution.

We are enabling experiences on your mobile devices such as driving directions, 2D/3D/Street View maps, GPS based navigation, category search, product search, browsing detailed maps, finding movie times or just searching anything on the web you are remotely curious about. The field is full of stiff competition, but the battle is far from won for anyone. Our goal is to deliver Bing experience on every mobile device and platform out there. Our mission is to get every one of the mobile queries served using powerful Bing search technology. There is lot more to do.

Bing Maps and Mobile has an appetite for local data: from the latest restaurant reviews to business listings, from geosocial gaming to hyperlocal blogs. We are growing our team of engineers and scientists that focus on acquiring, mining, reasoning about and leveraging this data wherever we find it. The team is positioned to have impact in all application areas including search, mobile and mapping.

The ideal candidate will have strong engineering skills and experience in web based data mining, text mining, probabilistic and logical inference and NLP, not to mention passion for all things local, social and mobile.

Basic Requirements:

• Advanced CS degree (Ph.D preferred).
• Experience in architecting, managing and delivering advanced engineering projects.
• 6+ years of experience in some of information extraction, machine learning, text mining or NLP.
• 5+ years of experience in object oriented programming.
