Amazon's Shopping Advice team is hiring! We're looking for an experienced software engineer to help customers make confident buying decisions based on customer-provided content like Customer Reviews and Discussions.

This position requires a BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. To be successful you will need to have lots of experience with Java or C++, knowledge of SOA, experience working with databases and excellent communication skills. You will also have a strong grasp of architecture and advanced engineering principles and design patterns. You will enjoy working with massive amounts of data and are passionate about creating a superlative customer experience. You probably have expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, distributed systems and large scale data mining and more than 3 years of experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Computer Science and three to five years software development experience or equivalent
• At least 1 year experience designing high-performance, scalable architectures
• At least 2 years of experience with writing production quality code in Java and C++

• Data Mining and Machine Learning
