Job Description

Responsibilities:

• use natural language processing techniques to preprocess data for input into Chomp's search engine
• staying aware of state of the art research, using that and product goals to plan algorithmic improvements and producing production quality code that implements these improvements

• experience in a research role or environment (comfortable with understanding and implementation of research in published papers)
• experience of implementing NLP systems in a production environment with at least a basic sensibility of scaling such a system
• familiarity/experience with:
  • topic modeling/extraction (LDA desirable)
  • open source computational toolkits such as Lingpipe, Mahout or Mallet highly favorable
• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
