The Data and Analytics team in Salesforce.com's Customers for Life Organization (CFL) seeks an outstanding Data Mining and Analytics Developer for a groundbreaking R&D project to help our clients achieve extraordinary value by utilizing our application in the manner best suited to their needs.
As part of the Data and Analytics team, the successful candidate will analyze data and develop algorithms to predict customer usage patterns and make actionable recommendations. The creativity and innovation of the new team-member will be key to the creation of a successful data analysis and prediction product.
Responsibilities
- Cooperate with the Business Intelligence team (IT and CFL) to design and execute replicable data acquisition and utilization processes. Acquire, analyze, clean and structure data as needed.
- Interact with internal and potentially external clients to understand their requirements for applications of predictive analytics.
- Develop and test predictive algorithms to be implemented as part of an Salesforce.com internal application.
- Cooperate with IT organization to ensure integration and implementation of the developed algorithms in the production environment.
Required Skills/ Experience:
- Minimum of 3 Years of data mining and analytics experience.
- M.Sc. or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
- Thorough understanding of Data Mining, Machine Learning and Statistical Data Analysis
- Experience with SPSS Modeler
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team under aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment, convey a strong professional image, exhibit interest and positive attitude toward all assigned work, and strive for continued improvement. The successful candidate will enjoy the risk and opportunity of advanced technology development.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Experience with Data Warehousing, ETL and Business Intelligence tools
- Experience with RDMS, ability to formulate and refine SQL queries.
- Experience with data modeling, analysis and profiling
- Experience with Matlab
- Software development experience
- Experience with the Force.com and Visualforce development platforms
- Travel Requirements: less than 10%
