Minimum Job Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science (Ph.D. a plus, but not required);
• 3+ Years relevant work experience developing in PHP, Javascript, DHTML, AJAX, HTML5, Python, Flash/Flex, etc. C/C++ or Java a plus;
• Experience with SQL-like databases;
• Experience with UNIX/Linux systems is a plus;
• 2+ years front-end development experience, mobile a plus;
• Fast learner with strong problem solving and analytical skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Thorough understanding of web technologies;
• Passion for developing innovative end-user state-of-the-art applications;
• Knowledge of machine learning and past research experience a plus;
• Experience working with large-scale environments (Hadoop) is a plus;
• Interest in user evaluation and design is also valued.

In this position you will be working together with our scientists to develop novel algorithms for processing and mining extremely large amounts of data coming from user action logs and social networks.

Required skills/qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, with 2+ years of practical experience (Master degree is a plus);
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English;
• Fast learner with strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Proven ability to develop software solutions for complex design/implementation problems;
• Familiarity with concepts of data mining and machine learning;
• Experience in working with large document corpora, large time-series data, and/or large graphs, a plus;
• Experience in the development of Web applications, a plus;
• Experience in distributed processing of large data sets (Hadoop/Pig a plus);
• Proficiency in at least one of Python, Perl, C/C++, Java;
• Experience with UNIX systems;
