Position Summary:
The Manager of Cox Business Campaign Management will be part of the team at the center of defining success around B2B marketing execution for Cox Communications. Help to implement the strategy and integrated marketing execution via inbound, outbound sales, channel partners including but not limited to, direct mail, telemarketing, web, email, mobile, video and social media marketing support tactics.
The Manager of Cox Business Campaign Management is a key role within the Marketing Science team. This is a critical area for the company and an area where we need breakthrough thinking against strong competitors. The Cox Business marketing team is focused on furthering the growth of Cox's B2B offerings.
This role will help translate the campaign strategies into lead generation and sales across our channels in partnership with the Cox Business product and marketing teams. It will do this by driving the end-to-end campaign management implementation across direct mail, telemarketing, web, email, mobile, video and social media marketing support tactics.
Areas of responsibility include:
- Campaign Strategy & Planning
- Develop roadmap and strategy for campaign planning and execution. Lead definition and requirements for successful execution of campaigns across product, acquisition marketing and inbound/outbound sales teams based on business goals, brand position and value proposition. Manage stakeholder expectations and shape strategy based on campaign results.
- Assess competitive and industry benchmarking against capabilities regarding content, look and feel, and functionality, and make corresponding improvements. Continuously monitors campaign and industry trends and evolving technologies and standards to identify new opportunities to advance Cox Business goals, and develop recommendations as to their applicability to specific project requirements.
1) Drive and implement decision framework for incoming work, ensuring appropriate project management and resolution/timely escalation of conflicting priorities.
2) Set and communicate scope, timeline, and resources for Web projects.
3) Platform and operations solutions: Partners with IT and Campaign Management Team to scope and assess campaign management infrastructure needs and capabilities.
4) High-quality campaign execution: Owns/is accountable for operational and quality excellence across engagement channels including, but not limited to direct mail, telemarketing, web, email, mobile, video and social media marketing support tactics for all relevant projects or campaigns. Passionately defends the quality bar, and institutes all appropriate processes, from vendor selection to campaign development and release management processes.
5) Campaign Assessment: Provides leadership and guidance to the Cox Business marketing team on the effectiveness of all campaigns including performance of DNIS tactics in generating leads. Track generated leads through end of sales funnel.
6) Partner and interface with field marketers and analysts to generate prospect and customer lists, managing both exclusions and inclusions.
7) Have a full understanding and ability to perform control testing methodology and articulate post-campaign analysis.
8) Be able to incorporate existing propensity models into national campaigns, partner with database marketing to shape future modeling exercises and drive deeper and more efficient market penetration.
9) Serve as an advocate for the field marketing community with the ability to gather and leverage best practices, working to drive tighter alignment between Atlanta and the field in campaign setup, execution and post-campaign analysis.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in marketing modeling analysis role
- Proficiency with Unica Affinium software
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Knowledge of advanced Excel functions (e.g., creating formulas, pivot tables)
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with hands on experience working with large datasets
- Experience in data warehouse environment
- Experience with B2C/B2B direct marketing strategy and tactics
- Excellent project management, oral and written communication skills
- Excellent collaborative skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects and databases at one time
- Strong client services orientation
- Consultative and customer-facing skills
- Project management experience
- An MBA or technical degree a plus
