Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the nation's leading sexual and reproductive health care advocate, seeks an effective, detail-oriented self-starter with an understanding of nonprofit health care delivery models to grow and manage our business intelligence program.
This role will develop, communicate and execute a vision for business intelligence and data-driven decision making for Planned Parenthood. This vision will identify and create distinct value propositions for the strategic use of data/information across the core components of Planned Parenthood's mission-health care operations, education and advocacy programs.
The Director of Business Intelligence will design and champion systems that support data-driven decision making across all operational dimensions -- people, processes, products, and services - and create metrics and reporting that are outcomes-oriented, scalable and actionable.
Key components of this position include:
- Aligning PPFA's data analytics tools and resources with key health care / business initiatives, goals and strategies
- Championing business intelligence and data-driven decision-making as a core component of effective enterprise-wide management
- Integrating PPFA's business intelligence program with other PPFA divisions, affiliate stakeholder groups and Voxent, the Planned Parenthood managed services organization for health information technology systems / data
- Articulating and delivering the information, reporting, and analytical needs of key stakeholder groups. Communicating plans and progress with PPFA and affiliate senior management on a regular basis.
Our ideal candidate will have a Master's or other advanced degree in a relevant field (healthcare management, business intelligence, data analytics) and a minimum of 5-8 years of health care operations experience in the designing and implementing of data analytics programs to inform business practice and clinical care.
Candidates must be proficient in all aspects of business intelligence and information management processes, technologies and architectures such as business intelligence delivery mechanisms, business Intelligence tools, relational database and structure, dimensional data modeling principles, physical data architecture options, and data integration tools and techniques.
This position entails thorough knowledge of health care delivery models, operations and clinical service delivery and a requisite level of technical skills necessary to ensure alignment of business intelligence infrastructure design with business needs and value. The ability to effective communicate complex systems information in an understandable way in mission-relevant language for a wide variety of audiences is essential.
Knowledge of diverse groups, working with a multicultural workforce, and sensitivity and appreciation to cultural differences is necessary.
