Optimum Audience Intelligence is an analysis and intelligence platform that allows marketers and programmers to gain a detailed understanding of TV audiences using actual anonymous viewing behavior. The basis of this platform is a 30k household sample that is representative of the Cablevision customer base in the NY DMA. The platform and sample are in production and available for use. Selected third-party demographic data is available to augment the actual viewing data. This intelligence platform is intended to enable marketers and programmers to find, measure and follow their audiences for marketing and product development purposes. The Director's role will be to continue the process of building the platform and launching the Audience Measurement service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director is responsible for directing strategic Audience Measurement initiatives and ensuring that large and complex and/or multiple products are implemented on time, within budget and meet customer expectations.
Major activities and responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with various product development, sales, IT and Technology functional executives as well as outside consultants to assess feasibility, determine costs versus benefits, prioritize products and implement information technology solutions that adhere to established strategic business and systems objectives.
- Proactively leading and driving excellence in the development and integration of product delivery using formal product management techniques and software development methodologies, to meet service delivery expectations.
- Negotiating contracts, managing implementations and coordinating product launch with vendors, contractors, and consultant organizations supporting the delivery and maintenance of this new business system.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a minimum of 15 or more years of experience in either of the following:
- Executive level IT management working closely in the development and implementation of large-scale systems
- Development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale systems, preferably across multiple hardware and software platforms
- Must have a minimum of 8 or more years of hands-on product management and launch experience on major development products demonstrating the strategic use of Business Information solutions to improve business processes and to support critical business strategies.
- Knowledge of and hands-on experience with architectural design and implementations pertaining to middleware, networks, client server environments, internet, information sharing, modeling and analysis.
- Working knowledge of Microstragegy, SAS, Oracle, Javascript, and SQL.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 8 or more years of facilitation/leadership experience in which several of the following abilities have been demonstrated:
- Building executive-level customer relationships and responding to strategic business needs
- Managing resources to meet goals across multiple products/programs
- Leading multidisciplinary, high-performance teams which could include product managers, product administrators, software developers, database administrators, business analysts and others, to learn and apply new skills/techniques and to respond to business needs.
- Knowledge of the media ratings industry as well as formal Audience Measurement product management methodologies is strongly preferred. Understanding of the TV ratings industry and related uses of media measurement within the advertising buying and selling community as well as knowledge of programmer development and planning operations is a strong plus.
