Description:
This contractor position is responsible for design and development of proof of concepts that demonstrate next generation techniques for extracting value from data such as Anomaly Detection, Discovery, Search, Affinity, Inference, etc. Reports to IQT's Chief Scientist.
Responsibilities:
- Develop proof of concepts that demonstrate data-centric analytic services;
- Integrate, through APIs, web-services, and custom wrappers, third party applications;
- Leverage IQT Portfolio company technology to build compelling proof-of-concept systems;
- Learn and apply new technologies as the portfolio evolves; and
- Work with a combination of internal and external subject matter experts, architects, and developers.
Qualifications:
- Software development experience:
- Ruby on Rails;
- MySQL or Oracle; and
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Native, jQuery, or Prototype).
- CoffeeScript and Sass are a plus (Rails 3+);
- Python experience is a plus;
- NoSQL experience (Neo4j, MongoDB, CouchDB, Riak, Redis ) is a plus;
- Linux based development experience;
- B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.
