We are looking for a Marketing Insights Manager to drive digital advertising revenue growth and customer satisfaction in our core industries through the creation of actionable insights and close collaboration with sales teams. In this role, you will leverage your problem solving skills, analytical background, and digital advertising knowledge by:
Responsibilities:
- Developing valuable insights for inclusion in sales proposals that span across audiences, campaigns, competitors, and industries
- Delighting advertisers and agencies with sophisticated and actionable insights which help them understand how to react to the ever-changing digital landscape
- Leveraging both internal data sources/tools as well as syndicated data sources in the creation of insights and analytics
- Consulting with Sales teams to support account planning and advertiser strategy
- Developing a strategic plan for an industry sector & identifying key opportunities for revenue growth
- Enabling sales and marketing teams by creating white papers and trend overviews that contribute to thought leadership and high customer satisfaction within specific industries
- Building strong relationships with sales, product, and other insights teams to maximize revenue and partner satisfaction
- Developing requirements for emerging proprietary tools that build upon Microsoft's innovations in pre & post-sales insights; thought leadership on the next generation of Big Data solutions and possibilities
- Creating and monitoring an industry scorecard to provide guidance to management and partners on business results and future strategy
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline; MBA preferred
- 5+ years in an analytics role within the digital advertising industry with some Display advertising experience
- 7+ years in quantitative roles focusing on data analysis, interpretation, research, and insights
- Experience with syndicated research (Comscore, Nielsen Online) and web analytics (Omniture, Webtrends)
- Demonstrated digital advertising and marketing industry knowledge
- Ability to find and apply both syndicated and internal data & research to uncover opportunities; ability to tell compelling stories using multiple data sources
- Expertise in Microsoft Office products such as Excel (i.e. pivot tables, Powerpivot, OLAP cubes) and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines simultaneously
- Occasional travel is required
