Financial Modeler

As a Financial Modeler/Analyst, in Auto Finance, Financial Management, responsibilities as a team member include development of statistical/mathematical models, procedures, and statistical analyses connected to pricing automobile loans and leases. This includes model development, validation, maintenance, and enhancement. You may work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously to address business issues.

Requirements:

• Graduate degree (MS) or formal training in relevant technical fields (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, and Computer Science)
• Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent planning and multi-tasking skills.
• At least five years prior work experience in analytical position, financial industry experience preferred
• Significant experience in relevant technical areas (e.g., UNIX; database SQL; Microsoft Office)
• Hands-on experience in statistical software packages (SAS highly preferred) and good programming skills are required. Knowledge and experience with modeling techniques (regressions, neural networks, decision trees, etc.), and data mining experience with large, transactional data sets preferred.
• Able to deliver statically sound models developed in a methodical manner with minimal supervision
• In depth understanding of key data sources and general knowledge of key bank data systems
• Prior experience in finance and/or risk management, and indirect auto lending preferred
• Good written and oral communication skills to clearly present analytical findings, and make recommendations
