Set up a data mining sw infrastructure on our digital signage (Video analytics) platform which we can showcase to advertisers. Set up a fundamental set of API between video analytics and data mining.
Special skills which the Intern should have: Machine learning & data mining experience. In this position, you will be joining a team that is responsible for the software development for a group that is deploying Digital Signage systems based on Intel Vpro technologies. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Implementing, Improving and defining API's to assist in data mining delivery.
- Investigate, prototype, and Implement unique data mining models
- Investigating and prototype APIs communicating data seamlessly between video analytics application and data mining applications
- Investigate and implement innovative use cases involving video analytics and data mining
- Creating documentation and Best practices related to Privacy and Proof of impression use cases
Qualifications
You must be a student currently pursuing a course of studies in a relevant discipline. Additional qualification include:
- A PhD or Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or mix with Computer Science. Pure Computer Science
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers
- Ability to work well in a diverse team environment, and with minimal supervision
- Disciplined and high attention to details
- Willingness to learn new things
- Good documentation skills and practices
- Four to five years of programming experience
- Understanding and practice of Object Oriented Programming
- Proficiency with Windows*, Unix*, Linux*
- A broad range of skills to compliment their functional area of focus would be and added advantage
- Good knowledge of Machine learning & Data mining concepts ( Decision trees, association etc)
- Essential skills; C#, C++, C, Java*, JavaScript, Perl, SQL, HTML, Visual Source Safe,
Microsoft SQL Business intelligence suite, DMX, MDX, VB, Microsoft Visual Studio, Dev-C++, MS Visio*, Background in ASP/ASP.NET, MS SQL, general programming knowledge.
