Senior Software Engineer, Machine Learning/Text Mining

Location: San Jose is Preferred - Open for Other Locations for a Top-notch Candidate

We are looking for a top-notch software engineer to lead our distributed machine learning product development. This role is ideal for a software engineer who has both domain experiences in machine learning, text mining and a strong track record in developing code used directly in the end SW products. Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced machine learning and text-mining algorithms.
• Lead overall architecture and development effort in the machine learning team.

• VERY Strong programming skills in C/C++.
• Strong working knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms
• Strong team work skills
• Working knowledge of text mining and NLP
• Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Ability to create well-modularized, maintainable software and willing to follow team coding standards and design
• Ability to work under aggressive deadlines

• Large-scale system design experience, with extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux.
• Working knowledge of Hadoop, Mapreduce and NoSql technologies
• Familiarity with database design with a working knowledge of MySQL.
• Experience in working with Lucene and Katta/Solr
• Python programming skill
• Optimization techniques
• Familiarity with Agile Software Development is a plus
