About the Opportunity
The Quantitative Researcher will, with supervision, design, build, & deliver analytic & modeling solutions that optimize investments in digital media, direct marketing, and mass media. You will work with agency account team and clients to understand business issues and use rigorous statistical approaches to make recommendations for new marketing investment. Will work with internal media management teams create tools and reporting dashboards to measure predictive accuracy and determine what works and what doesn't.
Responsibilities
- Follow established best practices and procedures to ensure high quality delivery.
- Perform multivariate statistical analysis, build statistical models (regression, cluster, forecasting, etc.), do data mining/asset analysis, and design experiments.
- Work with client and internal technology teams to acquire and appropriately treat client data.
- Deliver projects on time and on budget, while managing client expectations.
- Document approaches and projects, write up and present results.
Qualifications
- Require a Masters' degree or PhD, preferably in a quantitative discipline: Mathematics, Statistics, Economics/Econometrics, Biostatistics, Operations Research. A bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline combined with directly relevant applied statistics work experience accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.
- Computer Skills: Proficient with desktop tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Experience working with statistical software such as R, SPSS or SAS required. SQL proficiency helpful.
- Require that candidate is fluent in written and spoken English
- Excellent statistical, analytical, and problem solving skills: Inquisitive by nature
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Precise attention to detail, commitment to quality and efficiency
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment with various departments and people to achieve common goals
- Business Acumen: understanding of fundamental marketing principles acquired through education or work experience
- Superior ability to interpret data to derive actionable insights
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Web analytics and/or Direct Response marketing experience a plus
- Experience in applied statistical modeling
