The Digital Research Analyst is a key member of a new team dedicated to the launch and ongoing operations of a major syndicated consumer research panel deploying both active and passive measurement technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the ongoing analyses of Digital Research Panel operations metrics, including but not limited to sample performance drivers of response, attrition, panel composition, etc.
- Analyze and present data using leading analytical techniques for actionable insights
- Identify problem areas and optimization opportunities
- Create, manage, and distribute extensive reporting, with the ability to reconcile counts across multiple reports
- Perform proactive and reactive analyses to ensure data integrity and opportunities for improvement in key panel metrics - using both standardized reports within proprietary software system and through generation of custom reports and data analyses
- Assist in implementation of experimental designs to improve key panel metrics, for example, incentive testing, panel recruitment techniques, etc. Responsible for analyzing/interpreting results of such experimental approaches
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on analyses and methodologies
- Routinely contribute to the dissemination of information about panel research methodologies by contributing to conference papers and journal publications
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science/IS or Social Sciences with a strong technical focus preferred
- Minimum 3 years performing data analysis/interpretation and report writing
- Experience with data management and reporting using complex relational databases
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Aptitude to foresee, detect and trouble-shoot data anomalies
- Acute attention to detail and accuracy; strong organizational skills
- Statistical background; proficiency in Excel and statistical packages such as SPSS/SAS
- Extensive experience and skills in quantitative research methods desired
- Ability to present complex information clearly
- Knowledge of data collection and research methodologies preferred
- Familiarity with market/survey research, especially with panel operations, large survey samples (online, phone, mail) or longitudinal studies a strong plus
- Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision; collaborative team member
- Ability to thrive in an intellectually challenging, innovative, collaborative, professional environment.
