The key to managing such huge volumes is turning the array of data into meaningful information. To this end, our Analytic and Forensic Technology (AFT) professionals combine forensic accounting and investigative skills with advanced technology to assist clients and their legal counsel.
With the ever increasing demands being put upon corporate law departments finding ways to maintain legal and regulatory compliance and to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their operations is critical to their success. Our Discovery Advisory Services professionals understand the unique challenges corporate law departments face and can assist them in the following areas: litigation readiness, records management consulting, strategic and technology planning, performance management, organizational design, matter and content management, legacy data remediation analysis, and legal process outsourcing evaluation.
Analytic & Forensic Technology services include:
- Claims administration
- Computer forensics

- Electronic discovery
- Discovery advisory services
Analytic & Forensic Technology professionals will possess the following qualifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Must be flexible with the travel requirements of client service projects
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Communicate effectively with all levels of engagement staff
- Experience in a professional services firm preferred

Computer Forensics qualifications:
- Computer Forensics experience
- Strong technical experience in troubleshooting personal computers and servers
- An understanding of file system types and hard disk drive structures
- A strong understanding of Windows based systems including installing, troubleshooting, and networking. Linux and UNIX experience is a plus
- Proficient in the use of EnCase or Forensic Toolkit or SMART or open source (Linux) forensic tools
- An understanding of data collection & preservation principles
- An understanding of networking concepts and experience in working with networked systems.
- Strong networking and TCP/IP skills are a plus
- Law enforcement or investigative experience is a plus
- Business development or marketing skills/experience desired
- A strong finance, accounting or economics background is not required, but it is very helpful
- COMP TIA A+ Certification (certification required within 1 year from date of hire)
- BA/BS degree in Computer Forensics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with an IT emphasis preferred
- EnCE certification or eligibility to sit for and pass the exam within 6 months from the date of hire
- CFCE certification a plus
Electronic Discovery qualifications:
- Hands-on technical, computer forensic investigations and/or electronic discovery experience required
- Experience in one of the following languages: C/C++/C#, Objective-C, Java, Javascript, Perl, PHP
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational database concepts. Demonstrated knowledge of construction of basic statements, ER diagrams
- Experience in all Microsoft Office applications, with priority given to Excel and Access
- Demonstrated knowledge of writing basic formulas (SUM, AVERAGE, etc.) as well as more advanced formulas, such as VLOOKUP in Excel. Creating different types of queries (match, un-match, etc.) in Access
- General Database, Networking, and Systems concepts
- Computer Forensic Tools/Utilities (Encase, FTK)
- Bachelor degree in computer science or related field preferred; Masters degree preferred
Data Analytics qualifications:
- Candidates should have experience mining and analyzing electronic transactional data.
- Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in 1 or more of the following from an accredited college/university (or significant related employment experience):- A dual major/minor combination including Computer Science or Management Information Systems and Business, i.e., Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management, Statistics, Mathematics - Electrical or other related Engineering disciplines Competency with one or more of the following strengths: SQL Server, Access, Visual Basic.Net, ASP.Net, Oracle, OLAP tools, SQL, Transact SQL, PL\SQL
- Preference will be given to candidates with combined capabilities in SQL Server and SAS.
Discovery Advisory Services qualifications:
- Corporate law department and/or consulting experience
- Understanding of corporate law department operations
- Experience in the following systems: case & matter management, document and records management and claims
- Understanding of eDiscovery processes and tools
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask
- Ability to describe complex technical concepts and ideas in non-technical terms
- Ability to provide strategy and operations design and implementation services
- Business development and/or marketing experience desired
- Records management and document retention experience
- Experience in professional services firm preferred
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Must be flexible with the potential travel requirements of client service projects
- Bachelors degree preferred; Masters degree preferred
