Job Description:
This position within the Business Intelligence area of Sybron Dental Specialties located in Anaheim, CA.

The Business Intelligence Analyst serves as the primary point of contact between the user community and business intelligence group performing a variety of duties including: supporting the user community, expanding available information, managing business rules and transformations, and creating quantitative models that answer business questions. The ideal candidate must possess a high level of technical competence around quantitative analytics. He/she should have experience with synthesizing meaningful information from large data sets and the ability to communicate findings.

The Business Intelligence group currently supports more than 700 users across 30 sites globally through multiple BI tools including an enterprise data warehouse. The data warehouse is built on an Oracle database and delivers information WebFocus, Oracle Discoverer, Tableau, and other direct data connections. Data consists of millions of transactions across multiple subject areas, including both internal and 3rd party data sources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with user community to identify opportunities for leveraging existing data to drive revenue.
• Build analytical models to support business strategy.
• Communicate user requirements to internal development team.
• Manage select business intelligence projects (modeling, integration, report development, and user acceptance).
• Develop training materials and conduct training for users in proper use of supported Business Intelligence tools.

• Strong quantitative skills
• 5+ years experience in business analytics (data mining, predictive analytics).
• Proven experience working with large data sets (millions of records). (SQL a plus).
• Strong presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written) with ability to initiate and maintain partnerships within the business as well as their peer group within IT, building trust and cooperating to get to solutions efficiently and effectively required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to direct senior leaders in the company and build strong relationships with internal clients.
• Ability to work in a complex, multi-platform environment and proven experience to meet deadlines.
• Self Motivated.
• Must be willing to travel (10-20%).
• No Relocation funding available.

• Requires a Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Statistics or other related field.
