Performance Consulting is a highly visible internal consulting team that supports JPMorgan Chase's Operations organization and other strategic lines of business.

The Business Modeling & Analysis Group (BMA), within Performance Consulting, primarily focuses on assisting customers in improving their business performance and client profitability through engagement based projects consisting of complex data analysis and statistical modeling. This position is project-oriented and the sucessful candidate will display a track record of leading critical projects with outstanding results.

This Sr. Consultant will support the Business Modeling & Analysis Group in the following:

• Perform data analysis by mining information from various data sources and transforming that data into meaningful, actionable information.
• Create statistical and predictive models to reduce risk and enhance the effectiveness of existing business rules
• Develop presentations and reporting to communicate key messages to senior management
• Proactively identify areas of opportunity through rigorous analysis of key performance metrics/indicators for each unit of Operations

• Scoping and managing engagements by working directly with line of business owners and managers
• Presenting findings and recommendations to members of the senior leadership team to enable them to make proactive business decisions and/or react quickly to changes in the business environment
• Engaging with metric owners from each business unit to identify key causes behind data trends/irregularities
• Search for meaningful patterns, trends, and relationships by sifting through large amounts of data and explain the findings to people with varying backgrounds.
• Developing predictive and forecasting models using historical data and externalities to improve operations
• Identifying process improvements to streamline data collection and report creation

• Ability to travel up to 25% for client engagements
• Minimum 3 years experience using data mining / analytical methods to improve business performance
• Detailed technical knowledge of and hands-on experience with various statistical, forecasting and predictive modeling methods (ANOVA, regression, time series analysis, decision trees)
• Strong SQL and SAS programming skills
• Advanced skills in MS Excel
• Strong listening, presentation, communication and influencing skills
• Experience supporting key management decisions with clear and concise data analysis
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as team player, create strong partnerships, and make calculated decisions independently
• Demonstrated project and time management skills

• Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related technical discipline
• Base/Advanced SAS Programming Certifications
• Business intelligence software including one or more of the following: BRIO Intelligence, MS SQL Server and/or Business Objects
• Experience using SAS Enterprise Miner preferred
