Position Summary
The Senior Research Analyst - Predictive Modeling Lead will be a senior team member responsible for developing advanced, multivariate predictive models that solve real-world business and organizational challenges.
Responsibilities will be to design and use complex modeling strategies to identify the drivers of solutions and predict business outcomes. The problems will span industries and business functions and require data mining and modeling expertise with methods such as neural networks, sequence analysis, decision trees, association analysis, survival analysis, logistic regression and data visualization as well as numerous other techniques.
The Senior Research Analyst - Predictive Modeling Lead also provides extensive client support to our base of Fortune 500 companies and healthcare organizations and is not only accountable for significant support of the project but also supplements project management activities, provides input to the technical content of new business proposals, and assists with other on-going project work as needed.
Required qualifications include
- Master's Degree
- 3 years data mining and predictive modeling experience;
- ability to translate organizational challenges to analytics and/or predictive modeling questions; strong background with statistics, modeling and quantitative analysis;
- ability to learn new tools, techniques, and apply them in novel ways;
- excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- self-motivated with strong analytical, communication and decision making skills;
- well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment; demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines;
- ability to organize material in a logical and compelling manner;
- flexibility with regard to work hours and requirements.
Many clients may be located in other states and time zones. Client contact may require evening hours; travel within the State of Michigan and the U.S. is occasionally required.
Desired qualifications include
- Ph.D.
- Consulting experience
- Experience leading the design of an advanced analytics approach to solving real world challenges
- Experience working with real world problems and data
- Experience designing neural network.
Hours: Typically Monday-Fri day (8:00am-5:00pm); weekends and evenings as necessary; schedule may vary.
