Summary:
This role is at the center of data analysis for one or more client accounts. This position is ultimately responsible for all deliverables including but not limited to weekly reporting, media and creative tests, creative analysis and accurate trafficking of creative, budget forecasting and accuracy. The Manager acts as a liaison between the Media and Analytics teams and facilitates open communication with other departments to ensure that the entire team is fully informed on the performance of media activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as primary day-to-day contact on project development and execution
  • Develops project timelines and deliverable schedules
  • Maintains a status on all projects and share with Director project progress, concerns about meeting deliverables, client issues, etc.
  • Ensures all client materials meet expectations (from content to quality), are on strategy and delivered on time
  • Conducts client calls, brings in extended team members when necessary
  • Establishes a strong relationship with the client through a demonstration of industry knowledge and of client's basic business issues
  • Proactively identifies and resolves project issues
  • Develops creative and media strategies in conjunction with other departments
  • Supports Marketing Intelligence in developing test and measurement plans
  • Researches Industry trends and facts and educates team
  • Command of budget allocation process for media and fees across all media platforms; ability to accurately project costs and anticipate the financial results of plan revisions
  • This position requires both strategic and tactical skill sets with an eye for numbers, proficiency at problem solving, a strong command of online media and an understanding of traditional media.
  • Continuously improve current business practices / processes
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Extensive background in interpreting direct response and brand analytics (Dynamic Logic, Insights Express, Buzz Metrics, etc) and correlating to media spend and tactics
  • Working knowledge of ad serving platforms for the purpose of targeting and ROI solutions: behavioral and contextual targeting, re-targeting, response optimization, keyword and natural search optimization, etc.
  • Strong familiarity with statistical concepts and methods
  • Familiarity with site-side reporting platforms such as Omniture, Google Analytics, and WebTrends
  • Experience in the analysis of large data sets to find useful relationships (data mining)
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc,)
  • Keen understanding of the application of internet technologies and products including ad serving, trafficking, tracking mechanisms, HTML, etc.
  • Knowledge of syndicated research tools: Nielsen, NetRatings, ComScore, TNS-MI, MRI, Jupiter, Forrester, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with focus on teamwork
  • Extremely proactive with a strong bias for action - Naturally inquisitive
Qualifications, Experience:
  • MBA of M.S. (Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc.) preferred, Bachelor's degree required
  • 4+ years relevant work experience; digital media experience required
  • Experience with ad-serving platforms like DART and Atlas
  • Experience with Web Analytics tools like Omniture/Web Trends
  • Some experience working with analytical software packages such as SAS or SPSS preferred
